Bespoke Classic Mini Softech Indoor Car Cover

Here at Coveryourcar.co.uk, we were recently commissioned to product a bespoke, indoor fleece cover for a Classic Mini Cooper, in of all places, Australia.  This Classic Mini also had lamp pods fitted so had to be taken into consideration when cutting the pattern.

As with all older classic cars we tend to ask for photographs etc before the process begins so we can see any slight modifications to the car.  Wing / door mirrors in particular are always something we take care over with older cars as they were never standard fit item(s).  Many mirrors have been fitted later via owners, dealers etc so their position can differ considerably.   Measurements and photos normally ensure the pockets in the covers are right, first time.

With indoor Softech bespoke fleece covers, customers can specify their own personal colour combination and piping usually to match or contrast the car being covered.

When choosing an outdoor car cover, its worth considering the type of climate its likely to be exposed to. With any piece of fabric outdoors and open to the elements it will degrade over time. With this in mind our Stormforce fabric has been designed to withstand the cold winters and hot summers of most European climates with no problems. This fabric is so amazing that it even copes with the heat of Australia, Spain, South of France, Italy and the like where the wrong type of fabric could quickly disintegrate.


Rule of thumb tends to be, if its going to be Hot then avoid Polyurethane based covers. As a company we will not ship these covers to hot climates, we will always advise customers, on alternatives which will work and last longer. If a cover has "vents" or a scoop on the bonnet or roof area then it will probably be Polyurethane as a fully Breathable material, such as Stormforce needs no extra venting.

Keeping Cats Off Cars

How do I go about keeping cats off my car is a question we get asked quite a lot here at Coveryourcar.co.uk

Cats like the warm bonnet of a just parked car but in the process of getting up there and then sitting there can cause deep scratches in you paintwork.

Quite often a car cover will do the job. Our Voyager Car Covers are made from a material that cats hate and find hard to get a claw into, to climb up onto the car.
